LOCKDOWN FITNESS EXERCISES FOR KIDS!!!


Kids!! Getting bored in this corona era? You might be wondering what a time has come being locked at homes , no physical activities , no games , no sports and no fun with peer group.

 

Here we are with some exciting and thrilling exercises which can keep you really fit and will make you active in this boring and dull time. It will also give you relief from the stressful online classes and will boost up your energy level. The Physical Activity Guidelines for School - Age Kids also recommend that kids get 1 hour or more of  moderate to strong physical activity daily.

 

When most adults think of exercise , they imagine working out in gyms , running on a treadmill or lifting weights. But for kids exercise means playing and being physically active.

Exercise does not have to be boring , painful or time consuming .The tips provided here will help you start an exhilarating exercise routine.


· Most of the physical activity should be aerobic , where kids use muscles and it should be continued for a period of time. Example of aerobic activities are : running , stretching , dancing , etc.


· School-age kids usually have brief bouts of moderate to strong physical activity alternating with light activity or rest through the day. Any moderate to strong activity count towards the 60-minute goal.

· Muscle-strengthening and bone-strengthening physical activity should be included atleast  3 days a week.

· Kids naturally build strong muscles and bones when they run , jump , play and exercise. Formal weight programs are not needed.


Kids should take care while doing exercise as if not then joint injuries or other injuries may occur. Kids should enjoy exercise and stay active throughout this lockdown and also throughout their lives. Staying fit would help them in improving in many ways such as : how they do at schools later , build self-esteem , prevent obesity and reduce the risk of serious illness later in life.
