EXERCISE: A New Beginning To Your Quarantine Life!

The practice of exercise or yoga brings us face to face with the extraordinary complexity of our own being! In the beginning, it is always dark. The mind thinks (and leads us to believe) that this darkness is forever. But the body can feel the light, and as soon as it is allowed, will always grow towards it. That's nature, that's yoga!

While we often focus on getting in as much exercise as possible, rest and recovery are also essential for reaching our weight loss and fitness goals. Although we can often do cardio everyday (though we may want to rest after every intense workout), but fitness involves a day of rest between strength training workouts.

        If you are:

· Overweight and want to burn some fat

· Skinny and want to bulk up by building muscle mass

· Fat and want to get leaner and bigger at the same time

· A man who wants to build a more masculine body by building muscles in the right places like the chest, back and shoulders

· A women who wants to get a toned, feminine physique by building up her glutes and narrowing her waist

· Married and want to workout with your spouse, so you can both reap the benefits while doing something fun together

all these are possible with a well exercise schedule.

All the guidelines for exercises and yoga are in a way beneficial but it is also necessary on working how to put all these together in a complete exercise programme where we can get our cardio, strength and flexibility all at once. The best way to exercise is to start with something simple and accessible. Try walking a few days a week and let that be enough until you are ready to try more activities. The important thing is to move your body as often as you can. There are multiple ways to setup an exercise schedule but which to choose varies from person to person. Here is a sample of an exercise schedule:

                           Day 1:                            20 Minute Cardio
                                                                  Lower Body Stretch

                           Day 2:                            Total Body Strength
                                                                  Total Body Stretch

                           Day 3:                            Rest or Stretch

                           Day 4:                            20 Minute Cardio
                                                                  Lower Body Stretch

                           Day 5:                            Total Body Strength
                                                                  Total Body Stretch

                           Day 6:                            Rest or Stretch

There are plenty of other ways to go about it as well. The important thing is to setup a complete, well-rounded programme that one can make work for one's life and fitness goals.

Each and everyone of us is motivated by someone or something to do exercise and maintain proper health and fitness. It is important to know basic exercise and yoga guidelines and principals, but the most important step in starting an exercise routine is exploring the idea of motivation. Without that all the advice and suggestions in the world won't do you any good.

It is also important to remember that motivation does not just happen. It is something you make happen each and everyday. If you have multiple reasons to exercise, you will always have something to get you moving, even when motivation is hard to come by. The hardest part of exercise is getting started. The rest of the journey is simple. If you can get that far. you have won half of the battle.

Some ways of motivating oneself:

· Remind yourself of your weight-loss goals.

· Think of a future event to get ready for (a wedding, a vacation, etc.).

· Consider how much energy you will have, to get more things done.

· Imagine how relaxed you will feel after a workout.

· Think of your exercise time as the only time you may get for yourself all day.

· Remind yourself how good you will feel by following through.

· Promise yourself a reward for completing your workout.

· Think of all the diseases and illnesses your workout could protect you from.

· Remind yourself that this workout is necessary to reach your goal.

Yoga or exercise is a powerful vehicle for change. As you build strength, you start to believe in your own potential.

  • Yoga and exercise is a dance between control and surrender.
  • Inhale the future, exhale the past.
  • Peace begins with a smile.
  • Here and now is where yoga and exercise begins.
  • No matter how old, how sick or how out of shape you are, you still can have a new beginning with yoga and exercise.
  • Yoga and exercise add years to your life and life to your years.

One thing that each person should keep in mind is that "it is never too late, it is never too bad and you are never too sick or old to start from scratch". So, this was a complete breakdown of exercise and all the components one need to setup a workout programme that meets all the needs.
